Welcome

Welcome to the Essex County Small Business Resource Center and Reference Library!

Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr.

Nowhere else in the State of New Jersey will you find a government-run library and resource center developed specifically to assist small, women, minority and LGBTQ-owned businesses. The Resource Center’s shelves are stocked with a range of books and periodicals about creating a business plan, optimizing financing, developing marketing strategy and more. Internet access makes it easier for our clients to conduct research in real time and quickly link with available business opportunities.

To sum it up, the Resource Center and Reference Library is a one-stop center for any entrepreneur looking to start their own business or a small business owner looking to grow their business.

Created by our Office of Small Business Development and Affirmative Action, this unique facility is our latest tool to help small, women, minority and LGBTQ-owned businesses compete in today’s challenging economic climate. Throughout the year, we host many free workshops and seminars on a variety of topics to help small business owners sharpen their management skills, develop relationships with lending institutions and improve their marketing efforts. In addition, we continually host networking events to help small businesses understand and navigate the public procurement process and connect with government and corporation giants so they are knowledgeable about public sector opportunities.

As always, our professional staff at the Resource Center and Office of Small Business Development is ready to provide assistance and help you continue on your path to success.

Your American Dream begins here! We look forward to working with you to continue Putting Essex County First.

Sincerely,

Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr.
